The reason for creating this forum was due to a need for communication among (prospectively) a lot of people interested in getting a Cycling Section off the ground.
For speed and ease of use I thought that a 'myfastforum.org' forum would be appropriate. The reasons for this choice are that I know that the forums are pretty robust (Karl has been using one at Benfleet Running Club for over a year), they are free of cost and they have minimal advertising. Before I give the forum out to prospective members I want to add a little content to get the ball rolling! Currently I have only put the Rules and suggested topic prefixes but I am working on a cycle commuter-based post.
The Forum is currently administrated by me (Jack Large). It is unlikely to get so popular that I would need to have Moderators (forum members that have privileges to edit, move and delete certain sections of the forum).
Prospective members need to go through more 'hoops' than in a usual 'public' forum to register. This should cut down the number of Spam 'members' that are created by Bots to spam the forum. Hopefully someone who is interested will still be happy to register using the current method.
As the admin I have the power to remove members from the forum should that occasion become necessary.
